ABOUT THE CAMP
Our preparatory camp is designed for boys entering grades 9-10 who aspire to be successful high school varsity basketball players and collegiate prospects. Our coaching staff will expose campers to the individual skill work needed to be successful at the next level, the pace at which workouts need to be done, and demonstrate to them the consistent work ethic needed to become an elite-level player. This camp is focused on improving the camper’s basketball IQ through individual and team drills while inspiring and energizing those with a passion for the game.
CAMPERS WILL RECEIVE:
- Individual instruction provided by the Heidelberg University men's basketball coaching staff
- A detailed written evaluation, assessing strengths & weaknesses
- Position-specific instruction for guards, posts and wings
- A reversible practice jersey
- Direction through 4-5 college-style practices
ABOUT HEIDELBERG BASKETBALL
In his five seasons as the head coach of the Heidelberg University men’s basketball team, Andy Bucheit has helped restore pride and purpose within the program. By recruiting outstanding student-athletes who have the desire to succeed in the classroom, in the community and on the court, Bucheit’s squad has climbed the standings in the Ohio Athletic Conference.
Bucheit and his coaching staff understand what it takes to win. Between playing and coaching careers of assistant Bryan Wickliffe and Bucheit himself, the Heidelberg staff has combined for 9 conference regular season titles, 9 conference tournament crowns and 15 NCAA Tournament appearances. The trio has been to the Sweet Sixteen four times, Elite Eight once and the Final Four two times.
Heidelberg competes in the Ohio Athletic Conference -- one of the toughest leagues in Division III in all sports. Each season, the OAC has several teams ranked in the Top 25.
