Morningside College presents a 9-week long, individualized summer wrestling program focused on the development of high school athletes.
The program offers a unique opportunity to improve in every facet of the sport. Sessions will be dedicated towards physical, mental, and technique development. Practices will be an intense physical experience. Techniques from neutral, top, and bottom will be learned and refined, mental toughness will be instilled, and physical conditioning will be established. Participants will leave prepared to dominate next season.
Practices and instruction will be held in the Hindman-Hobbs (HPER) Center on the Morningside College campus. We will offer several opportunities each week in the following areas:
- “Open mat” time focused on technique and mental improvement
- Physical preparation-teaches conditioning techniques and a wrestling lifestyle
- Workouts with Morningside team members
- Weight training-in season and out of season programs will be taught
