Shooting is the key offensive fundamental in the game of basketball. Far too common is the young player hoisting up shots with 2 hands with no idea of how to shoot the ball correctly.  The art of shooting is broken down in a very simple, yet comprehensive manner at this camp, with detailed attention given to: proper shooting mentality, shot mechanics, proper repetition, and much more. Students are corrected and this is a tremendous camp for those of you looking to really take a positive step with your shooting habits. Younger players will have the opportunity to shoot on lowered rims and with smaller basketballs to encourage an instructive learning environment.

This specific skill camp includes 6.0 hours of intense instruction. Application Sessions consist of small group practice providing the maximum amount of supervised repetitions. Shooting Games and Competition allow students to apply the skills learned in a fun environment. Coach Galvin videotapes and analyzes each camper's shot and provides an evaluation sheet for further practice.

Easy Drop Off and Pick Up:

Drop-Off Details:  All parents should plan on coming into the gym on the first day of the program to register with your child. Participants can arrive 30 minutes prior to their scheduled session.

Pick Up Details:  All parents are certainly welcome to stay and watch any of our Super Skills programs. The Courts also has a small café section that operates as a nice place to get some work done. If you are not planning on staying, please plan to pick them up promptly after the session.

Schedule/What to Expect:  As I’m sure you are aware, our goal is to be a ‘Best in Class’ program.  Each session is designed to help participants develop a love for the game, learn detailed fundamentals, and motivate and encourage them to develop strong morals, values, and work ethic.  We believe strongly that a player can learn a lot more at a camp then just how to play sports.

What to Bring/Wear/Eat, Drink:  Each player should bring appropriate clothing and shoes to work-out and play sports in. Shoes appropriate for a basketball court are strongly advised.  If you are attending a 1-3 hour program, please also send them with a small snack and something to drink. If your child is attending an All-Day program, please also send them with a healthy lunch. Players will simply store their things in the bleachers in the gymnasium.

Thank you for your interest and support of our Super Skills program, we look forward to seeing you soon!
