South Texas All-Star Basketball has provided fun and challenging basketball skill instruction for the Corpus Christi community since 1986. Our Fall and Spring Leagues are for boys and girls in 1st through 8th grades. Our league will offer a unique opportunity to improve skills and fundamentals as well as play regular season and tournament games.

Our leagues feature experienced, professional coaches from the Corpus Christi area. This provides the players with a great opportunity to learn from and interact with some of our areas top coaches!

Our leagues are held on Saturdays only – there is no weekday commitment for practices or games. Each age group will max out at 40 boys and girls and players will be split into four teams. All players will receive a t-shirt jersey to wear each week!

Players will spend two hours each Saturday at their respective gym. Coaches will spend the first hour working with each team on various basketball fundamentals and drills – including Shooting, Passing, Ball-Handling, Defense, Getting Open, Speed/Agility, and more! The second hour will be spent playing their cross-court 5 on 5 games! Coaches will both coach and referee during their team’s games.

Location: Our camps, leagues, and clinics use various gyms throughout the year depending on gym availability. Please see the specific event in order to determine the location of your age group.

Week One will begin with one hour of skill development teaching stations and speed/agility training. The second hour will consist of evaluation games in which the coaches will evaluate all teams and make any trades that are necessary to have the most competitive games possible during league play.

Weeks Two through Four will begin with one hour of teaching stations, speed/agility training, and team practice. During the second hour, each team will play two 5 on 5 cross-court games as part of our regular season competition.

Week Five will be our Championship Week. We will begin with one hour of teaching stations, speed/agility training, and team practice. Following the team practice, we will begin our tournament play. Each team will play two games during week 5 culminating with our Championship game for the winners of their first round games. A consolation game will be played between the other two teams so that each team gets to play their two games.
