Event Description

Texan Elite Camp

 

Individual Instruction
The camp provides instruction in all basketball fundamentals including shooting, ball handling, scoring situations, defense and rebounding. Campers will compete against players in their own age group.

July 7th - 10th
Grades: 4th - 12th
Time: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Lunch is Provided)
Overnight Cost: $325 per Player ($100 Deposit is required)
Commuter Cost: $150 per Player ($100 Deposit is required)

Check in (at Wisdom Gym Lobby):
For Overnight Campers: July 7 from 5 -7 p.m.
For Commuting Campers: July 8 from 7:15 - 8 a.m.
*Camp Ends at Noon on July 10 following awards ceremony

Elite Camp: Evening Activities
Nightly entertainment may consist of: Movie, 3-on-3 tournament and a cookout.

Supervison
Tarleton State University basketball staff, college coaches, high school coaches and college players will make up the camp staff.

Please Note

  • Commuters
    Commuters will be served lunch only. Elite Camp Commuters arrive at 8 a.m. and will depart at 5 p.m. each  day. Registration for Elite Camp commuters are at 7:15 a.m. Camp Ends at Noon on the last day following awards ceremony.
  • Leaving for Summer Leagues
    Campers may leave for Summer League games with their parents only, unless we receive a note allowing travel with some other party.

Insurance
All participants will be covered by a secondary medical insurance, which is included in the camp fee.

About the Facilities
Tarleton State University has the very best in the way of facilities to offer campers. The Physical Education building houses beautiful Wisdom Gymnasium as well as an auxiliary gymnasium and an indoor swimming pool and diving well. The building also includes a complete weight room and physical training room. The residence halls, dining hall and student center are conveniently located and are excellent facilities for the campers.
