Event Description

YSU Men's Basketball Camps

Team Shootout Camp

 

This summer the Youngstown State Men’s Basketball program will be offering a team summer camp under the direction of new Head Coach Jerrod Calhoun. Calhoun was named head coach on March 28, 2017. These shootouts will give teams a chance to play new competition that they are not accustomed to playing in their conferences. It will give them an opportunity to play some of the best competition in the region. Both varsity and junior varsity teams will be accepted.
 

Camp Information

  • Per NCAA regulations, individual instruction will be provided.
  • Each team will be guaranteed at least four games.
  • Teams will compete against some of the best regional competition with OHSAA officials.
  • Game start/end times will be set according to teams’ travel distances.

Time: 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Cost: $275 Varsity Teams
$275 JV Teams

Location: Youngstown State University and surrounding high schools.

Drop Off /Check-In: Check-in will begin at 7 a.m. (depending upon the team’s schedule) at the south entrance of Beeghly Center nearest to Kilcawley Center. Enter the M-70 lot off of Fifth Avenue. Packets will be given to each head coach regarding games, locations, directions and times when they check in.

Lodging: Lodging is not included. However, there are many lodging accomodation options near the YSU campus. Many of which are reasonably priced. Additional information on lodging accomodations can be given to those teams who are interested in participating by contacting the men’s basketball office.

Concessions: Concessions will be available all day at each site for those who care to grab food or drinks prior to or following their games.
