Pitching - Intermediate/Advanced Series 2
Elite Pitching Clinics
The Shippensburg University Elite Softball Pitching Clinic is designed to offer small group instruction based on a progression of skills. Sessions will be offered based on skill level and broken down into two groups: Beginner and Intermediate/Advanced. In each skill group, the session will be limited to 10 pitchers on a first come, first serve basis. Pitchers are required to provide their own catchers. The clinic is designed to teach skills in a progression, where each session builds on what was covered in the previous session. The Elite Softball Pitching Clinic will be led by Shippensburg University Assistant Coach Danielle Thacker. Danielle is a former Division 1 collegiate athlete competing at the University of New Mexico. Currently, she is ranked 6th in the UNM record book for most strike-outs per seven innings, and stands 2nd in career wins with 51. She also ranks 3rd in total career shut-outs while competing in the Mountain West Conference. The format for both beginner and intermediate/advanced is detailed below:
Participants are encouraged to attend all 4 sessions, for maximum progression of skills. The outline below covers each series, cost, and session dates. If you are unable to attend all four sessions in a series, a per-session cost has been indicated. If you plan to attend more than 1 session, at a per-session cost, it has to be within the same series.
