Event Description

Day Camps

 

Day camp is for teaching young players the basic fundamentals of shooting, ball-handling, and passing. It emphasizes skill development in addition to team play, contests, and fun. Campers entering grades 3-9 will attend daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Campers entering grades 1 and 2 will attend daily from 9 a.m. to Noon.

Registraion: 8:00am - 9:00am (@ J. Nine Club, west side of Mackey Concourse)
Time: 9:00am - 4:00pm
Grades 1st & 2nd: $140
Grades 3rd - 9th: $275

Campers in Grades 1 to 2

 

Campers in grades 1 through 2 will have camp from 9 a.m. to Noon each day. Parents are welcome to stay and watch camp. Drop-off and pick-up will be at Mackey Arena each day.

 

Campers in Grades 3 and Over

 

Campers in grades 3 and over will have camp from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. Parents are welcome to stay and watch camp. Drop-off and pick-up will be at Mackey Arena each day.

 

Pick-up and Drop-off

 

Campers can be dropped off each day anytime between 8:15 and 9 a.m. at Mackey Arena. Pick-up will be in Mackey Arena each day at Noon for grades 1 and 2 and 4 p.m. for grades 3 and over. For drop-off and pick-up, we suggest parking in the A-Lot, which is located immediately south of Ross-Ade Stadium and can be accessed from John Wooden Drive on the East side Ross-Ade Stadium. Please park in University Residence spots as A, B, C permit spot may be ticketed.

Lunch

 

Lunch is not provided. Campers may bring their own lunches. Coolers will be collected each day and handed out at lunchtime. In addition, pizza and breadsticks may be ordered each day. Breadsticks will be sold for $5 and medium pizzas for $10. The pizzas are large enough to feed two campers, so half orders are an option. Pizza orders will be taken at registration and each morning before camp begins. Drinks will be provided.

 

Awards Ceremony

 

The awards ceremony for full-day campers will be held on the last day of camp in Mackey Arena. All campers should be present at that time. For half-day campers, closing ceremonies will be held on the last day of camp in Mackey Arena. Parents are encouraged to attend.   We suggest parking in the A-Lot, which is located immediately south of Ross-Ade Stadium and can be accessed from John Wooden Drive on the East side Ross-Ade Stadium. Please park in University Residence spots as A, B, C permit spot may be ticketed.  Additional parking is available in the R-Lot north of Ross-Ade Stadium.

 

Schedules

 

Daily schedules are available at registration. Game schedules are subject to change, especially on the last day of camp. Please check with your camper regarding game time if you plan to see him play on that day.

 

Teams

 

Campers are placed on teams according to age and ability. Our priority in forming teams is to have balanced competition. In some cases, players are "traded" from the team assigned at registration to better balance the competition.

 

Photographs

 

An individual photograph with Coach Painter or a group photograph can be purchased at camp. Photographs are $10 each or both individual and group photos for $15.

 

Purdue Merchandise

 

Purdue apparel and merchandise will be available for purchase during the awards ceremonies on the last day of camp. Cash, checks, and credit/debit cards are accepted..
