Summer Camp I
2020 SUMMER CAMPS
As the head coach at UW-Stevens Point, it gives me great pleasure to invite you to our summer camps.
I encourage you to enroll early as camp will be limited to the first 120 campers.
My staff and I are excited to work with you throughout the six sessions of camp. Many of the UWSP players will be serving as coaches and counselors during your camp experience.
Each camper will participate in offensive and defensive skill development, 3-on-3 play and team league play. All campers will receive a reversible jersey and a game ticket for next year’s season.
We teach the same fundamentals and techniques that have made our players champions.
I hope you will be able to join us this summer. Feel free to contact me with any questions.
Camp is $210 for commuters and $245 for residents. A $100 non-refundable deposit must accompany all registration forms for each resident or commuter camper. Early cancellations due to medical reasons will receive a full refund minus $25 cancellation fee if the cancellation is made prior to the camp. All other cancellations will receive payment back minus $50. NO REFUNDS will be given for no shows or campers sent home for disciplinary reasons.
Both resident and commuter campers must check into the Berg Lobby on Wednesday afternoon.
Commuters should be picked up at 9 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday evening and dropped off by 8:45 a.m. on Thursday and Friday morning at Quandt Fieldhouse.
At UWSP we feel we have the finest camp facilities in the Midwest. We have access to two gymnasiums, all housed under one roof. This means no transporting campers from one site to another, no long walks across campus, no outdoor sessions and more time for instruction and skill development. Quandt Fieldhouse and Berg Gym will all be utilized during the camp sessions.
UWSP is located in the heart of Wisconsin, accounting for many outstanding campers that attend from all regions of the Midwest. Located along the scenic Wisconsin River, U.S. HWY 51/I-39 provides easy four lane access to the city of Stevens Point. UWSP is 70 miles from the Fox Valley, 90 miles from Green Bay/Madison, 110 miles from Eau Claire/La Crosse and 150 miles from Milwaukee.
All campers must complete and have on file a UWSP Camp Health History form, a Notice of Privacy Practice, a Concussion Waiver and a General Release form. All FOUR forms are available on our webpage athletics.uwsp.edu/ camps. Please return these four forms along with your registration form
Campers must have health insurance or admission will be denied.
HOUSING / MEALS
Resident campers will be housed TWO to a room, no exceptions, in a residence hall on campus. Coaches and counselors reside on the same floor as the campers. The campers’ registration fee covers the cost of all meals. Commuters will be provided lunch and dinner meals. Commuters are campers who elect not to stay in the residence hall.
Each camper will be responsible for her meal before the first session of camp.
24-HOUR SUPERVISION IS PROVIDED.
