U.S. Department of Energy 3D printing, Advanced Simulation and Corrosion Control Day Camp

This summer camp is hosted by UTSA’s mechanical and electrical engineering faculty members and graduate assistants. The workshop is supported by a grant from the US Department of Energy and National Nuclear Security Administration. Participants will learn: Participants will learn: Piezoelectric Energy Harvesting, Electronics Fabrication & Digital Design, Additive Manufacturing (3D Printing), Robotics & Automation Simulation, and Industrial Sensing and Corrosion Control for Industry. Students will learn these subjects from our faculty, work in their labs, and get hands-on experience and the latest in engineering knowledge. 

Scholarships Available

A scholarship option is available for families that qualify by financial need and merit. Qualifying families will have $200 reduced on the total price of the camp. The total price of the camp minus the $200 will need to be paid at check-out to register for the camp ($50).

If you would like to be considered for financial assistance, please select the day or overnight financial assistance option. At checkout, you will pay the reduced amount of the camp as your information is reviewed. After your information is reviewed, if you meet the qualifications, your account will be marked paid in full. If you do not meet the qualifications for financial assistance, you will need to pay the remaining balance by May 2nd. Families who applied for financial assistance but did not qualify will receive an email to notify them that they will need to submit the unpaid amount to finalize their registration.

Camp Schedule

Day Camp - Students are dropped off and picked up from UTSA each day. Lunch, snacks, and all materials provided.

• Monday- Thursday: 9am - 4pm,
• Friday: 9am-noon

Refund Policy:

A full refund will be given on cancellations received 3 weeks prior to the start date of your camp session. A 50% refund will be given up to 2 weeks prior to the starting date. No refunds will be given for less  than 2 weeks. We will gladly apply your fee to a different camp session if space permits.
