Our 3rd Annual Fall Track & Field School is specifically designed for the middle school and high school athlete looking to improve and refine their skills in specific Track and Field Events. This is an opportunity for up-and-coming Track and Field athletes to work closely with experts in their desired events. Our staff will consist of Auburn University Track & Field student-athletes and Auburn University Track & Field Coaches. Participants will receive detailed instruction, training, and feedback from top-level athletes and coaches.
Location
Hutsell-Rosen Track at Auburn University
Additional Information
Participants will register for all 6 training sessions. No refunds will be issued for any sessions missed.
*If any session is cancelled due to weather or other unforeseen reasons, we will offer a make-up night on Monday, October 29th.
Camp Check-In
Check-in will be Monday, September 17th, from 5:15pm-6:00pm at the main entrance to the Hutsell-Rosen Track. I recommend arriving by 5:45pm at the latest due to the number of people checking in to allow us to be finished and ready to start the camp activities at 6:00pm.
Paperwork
Below is the REQUIRED paperwork that MUST be submitted by everyone in attendance before you will be allowed to participate in ANY camp activities. Please note there are 3 main things required in these documents:
- Medical Clearance: This can either be a Dr.’s signature on the attached form or a copy of a recent physical containing a Dr.’s signature (must be dated within a year of camp).
- Waivers: Parents or legal guardians MUST sign off on the two required sections.
- Insurance: Please attach a photo copy of your insurance card.
Paperwork can be scanned and e-mailed to duvaljs@auburn.edu or turned in at check-in prior to camp at check-in on September 17.
Dress
I would recommend that you dress comfortably for the weather conditions. Shorts and a t-shirt will be fine for all camp activities. Make sure you wear comfortable shoes for running and jumping! If you have track spikes, please wear or bring them with you.
Equipment
Please CLEARLY label any equipment (backpacks, etc.) that you bring with you in case it is lost or misplaced.
Medical Issues / Hydration
We will have a full time athletic trainer on staff at the camp site. They will provide plenty of hydration for you during the camp. Make sure you are staying hydrated throughout the sessions. If you have any medical needs that arise during the camp, please see our athletic trainers.
Parking
Parking should not be an issue. Please park in the Hutsell-Rosen Track lot off Lem Morrison Dr.
