We offer coaching in sprints, hurdles, relays, middle/long distance, high jump, and long jump. At this time, coaching is not available for throwing events.
Location: Southview Middle School, 1020 SW Cherry St. Ankeny
What to bring:
Athletes should bring water, running shoes, spikes (optional), and a GPS watch (optional for middle/long distance runners). Athletes should also wear layers, as weather will vary (cold, hot, wet, windy) during the season. It is important to start practice promptly; please have your child to practice 10 minutes early to use the restroom, change shoes, or ask the coach a question.
What to expect:
Each practice will begin with a warm-up run and dynamic stretching. Workouts consist of skills, drills, and games. Practice ends with cool-down stretches and conditioning.
Inclement Weather Policy
ATC will attempt to post weather cancellations via our Facebook page, Twitter, Text, and email by 5:00 pm. Practice will be stopped if there is heavy rain and/or lightning in the immediate area.
