2021 Shore Running Experience XC Day Camp
The Monmouth University XC staff strives to help each participant reach his or her potential in the sport of XC while providing personalized instruction to campers who attend. Campers will receive a wealth information, including specific drills and goals to help them improve their running/racing. Campers will get the opportunity each day to train, learn and hear renowned guest speakers in the sport of XC while supervised by the experienced Monmouth University XC staff. Each camper will be provided guidance on proper training methods that they can use throughout the year. The program provides positive coaching techniques that will help the athlete walk away with increased self-confidence. All ability levels are welcome at camp. Athletes will also receive tips about preparing for success in high school and college in the sport of cross country.

Space is limited to the first 50 campers
Camp Staff:
The current staff of the Monmouth University Cross Country Program along with former XC Monmouth University Director of Track and Field Joe Compagni. Also participating in instruction will be successful NJ high school XC coaches as well as current Monmouth University XC team members to ensure a positive experience for each camper.
Daily Camp Schedule:
- 8:45 am - Arrive/ Check in
- 9:15 am - Begin warm up drills/dynamic stretching
- 9:30 am - Group run
- 10:30 am - Cool down/ Stretching
- 11 am - Lunch
- Noon - Guest Speaker/Lecture
- 2 pm - Team building activity
- 3 pm - Drills/ Form Analysis
- 3:45 pm - Prepare for dismissal
CANCELLATION POLICY
There is a $30 cancellation fee unless there is a doctor's note. Cancellations must be submitted in writing to summercamps@monmouth.edu. Full refunds, minus a $5 processing fee, will be available with a doctor’s note.
