Butler Youth Soccer Camp Philosophy

Develop ball mastery
Teach players how to dominate 1v1
Develop creative and confident players

Encourage FUN & ENJOYMENT

The training (Meulensteen Method Philosophy) is based on developing a player’s technical skill through ball mastery, 1v1 moves, and passing and receiving exercises. We also focus on improving a player’s decision making within small-sided group play. We want to develop confident, creative and skillful players.

The ultimate objective of the camp is to create a fun, safe, yet challenging environment that inspires all the players to want to become better soccer players and teammates.

During Day Camp 1 & 2, we will be hosting the Regional US Technical Championship Challenge (UTSC).

The Butler Youth Soccer Camps’ Coaching staff is made up of highly respected and qualified college coaches, club coaches, high school coaches as well as some of Butler’s current varsity players. The coaches are known for the quality of their teaching, enthusiasm & passion for the game. All activities are carefully supervised.

Tentative Camp Schedule

**Monday - Thursday**
8:30am - 9:00am		Campers Arrive
9:00am - 9:30am		Technical Warm Up, Speed & Agility
9:30am - 10:30am		Training Session Topics
10:30am - 11:00am		Finishing/Attacking Topics
11:00am - 11:50am		7 v 7 Games in Age Groups

*On Tuesday and Thursday the Elite & Full Day Campers will go to the Pool between 11:30am - 12:30pm.
(not mandatory - for those who do not want to swim, they can stay at the fields & REST)

12:00pm		Half Day Campers Leave
11:50am - 12:45pm		LUNCH for everyone else
12:45pm - 1:30pm		Competitive Group Skills Challenges (Medals will be given out to Winners!)
1:30pm - 3:00pm		Full Day & Elite 4 v 4 Tournament

**Friday**
8:45am - 9:00am		Campers Arrive
9:00am - 10:00am		Technical & Group Skills Challenges
9:30am - 10:15am		PK Contest Skill Challenge
10:30am - 11:40am		4 v 4 Tournament Finals...
11:45am - 12:00pm		Closing Ceremony (Awards given out)

Day Camp: Ages 6-14 - Open To Boys & Girls Elite Camper: $275 Full Day Camper: $275 Half Day Camper: $160 There will be no additional online registration fee incurred.

Day Camp 1 June 11th - 15th
♦ Elite Camper is a player who has had previous competitive youth club playing experience and who wishes to train in a more competitive environment; focusing on more specific technical and tactical topics.
♦ Full Day Camper is a player who either has a recreationally background or a youth club background but wants to practice and compete in a less competitive environment. The full day campers will still be exposed to many of the same technical exercises as the elite camper. They will also participate in a lot of fun and challenging small games activities.
Food: Campers can bring their own food to camp. There will be snacks to purchase at camp. Medical: Certified Athletic Trainers are on duty at all times to handle any medical needs. Include any necessary medical information in the specified field when registering online. (For those who mail in registration, you can find the medical release form in the “Forms” tab on the main page of the website.) T-Shirt: Each player will receive 2 Butler Soccer Camp T-Shirts at the start of camp. Balls:** Players will need to bring their own balls. There will be balls available to purchase at the camp.
