2018 COLLEGE DISCOVERY CAMP

The College Discovery Camp is a finishing & GK school run by the TCU Soccer Staff. It is open to girls in 6th through 8th grade.

This camp allows players a unique opportunity to work with current college coaches and TCU players.All training sessions will be held in the Garvey-Rosenthal Soccer Stadium on campus.

In addition, Goalkeeper specific training will be included in the training academy. Goalkeepers seeking to advance their technical, tactical, physical, and psychological understanding of the game will have an opportunity to work with TCU goalkeeping coach, Sebastian Vecchio.

The vision of The Elite Soccer Project is to encourage excellence on and off the field.

Location: Garvey-Rosenthal Soccer Complex, 3600 West Berry St., Fort Worth, TX 76129

Field Player Information: The field player program for girls 6th to 8th grade, is designed to supplement a player’s desire to be the best and discover her potential to play at the College Level. The College Discovery Camp will focus on technical development, quickness, and movement with the ball in finishing settings.

Specific Areas of Focus Include:

• Moves To Beat Players 1v1
• Moves To Escape Pressure
• 1v1 & 2v2 Defending
• Creative Two Player Attacking
• Footwork
• Finishing
• Deception with the Ball
• Speed / Agility Training

Goalkeeper Information: The goalkeeper program, run by TCU Goalkeeper Coach Tom Serratore, is set up to address the needs of goalkeepers (6th to 8th grade). The goalkeepers will train together and will then be integrated with the field players. The goalkeeper program will address the technical, tactical, physical, and psychological skills necessary for being a goalkeeper.

Specific Areas of Focus Include:

• Technical Training (Handling, Footwork, Distribution, Diving, Breakaways, Front Smother, Boxing, Tipping, & Parrying)
• Tactical Training (Angle Play, Crosses, Organization, Set Plays)

Cancellation Policy: Attending any portion of camp constitutes full camp attendance. As such, no refunds (neither full or partial) will be issued upon attending any portion of camp. No refunds will be issued within 2 weeks prior to the start of camp. Refunds requested prior to the 2-week deadline will be assessed a 30% administrative fee.
