Your 2018 SWAC Conference Champion Grambling State Soccer team who went 14-8 this season just announced it will be hosting a one day ID Camp tryout for student athletes. The camp will be held on Saturday afternoon March 9th from 2pm to 5pm. You will have the opportunity to show your stuff in front of the Grambling State Soccer coaching staff and to meet and associate with the team. For those interested prior to this camp, GSU will be hosting a college 7 aside tournament with four to five universities competing you can come and watch for free if you'd like from 10am to 1:00 pm.

The camp from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm will be held at the GSU Soccer field on campus which is located right beside the Frederick Hobdy Assembly Center (Its our basketball gym, gps that).
Cost will be $50 for the day if registered by March 7th. For those registered after the 7th, the cost will be $60 per person. For those looking to fly in for the camp, the Monroe Regional airport is roughly 30 minutes roughly from campus, Shreveport airport is an hour, or Dallas/Little Rock are the nearest Southwest destinations.

We are down to our final few spots for our 2019 roster in limited positions. We are still very much looking for 2020, 2021, and 2022 high school grads

This clinic will feature some technical work, but mainly short sided scrimmage games, 1 vs 1 to goal instruction, some shooting drills and competitions and then full sided scrimmages in the afternoon. We'd love to have you on campus and have the chance to work with you and see you compete.

What To Bring: Please bring necessary soccer equipment to compete, shin guards, ball, water, cleats and your game face.

Contact: Please contact coach Wagar (801)234-0235 with any questions or email him at wagarj@gram.edu

This camp is more to evaluate skill of players. If you want more skill instruction and learning to improve skills, please consider our overnight summer camp in mid July. Information on that will be posted in the coming weeks.
