Elite Camp at SIUE

SIUE Men’s Soccer is one of the most historic soccer programs in the nation. The Cougars have won two national championships alongside three additional “College Cup” appearances! With a great academic reputation and over 80 professional soccer players produced, Southern Illinois University Edwardsville is a great destination to be a student athlete and compete at the next level! We are currently looking for future Cougars and the next generation of SIUE Men’s Soccer student-athletes!

The goal of the “Elite Camp at SIUE” is to create an event for players to get exposure to the college soccer training and playing environment, provide important information regarding the recruiting process, and have the opportunity for student-athletes and our coaching staff to work together on the field! Additionally, we will be hosting coaches from all levels of colleges soccer to evaluate players for additional exposure. In attendance, you will find NCAA Division 1-3, NAIA, and NJCAA coaches in hopes that every player finds the right fit!

Space is limited, so register early! Enrollment is open to current high school freshmen though junior college student-athletes.

***All registrations must be received by 5:00pm E.S.T. on Saturday, March 30th. Registration will be limited to the first 104 field players and 16 goalkeepers to register and will be closed after this number is reached.***

Upon reception of your registration confirmation email you will receive a “Medical Waiver & Concussion Information Form”. These forms MUST be completed prior to participation. Please complete both signed documents and email them to Coach Simon Bird.

FACILITIES
The camp will be held at Ralph Korte Stadium and the SIUE grass training field. The stadium field was renovated in 2018 with a brand-new state of the art artificial surface.

PARKING
Parking will be available at Ralph Korte Stadium: 3345 Stadium Dr, Edwardsville, IL 62026

GOALKEEPERS
Goalkeepers will be provided with goalkeeper specific training as well as lots of small sided and full sided game action.

TRAINING STAFF
There will be an athletic trainer at ALL scheduled training sessions and games.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

• We encourage all campers to arrive between 9:00 AM and 9:15 AM in order to ensure that all check-in / registration is completed by 10:00 AM for the start of camp.
• Travel and lodging arrangements are the sole responsibility of each camper.

CANCELLATION / REFUND POLICY
If a player is forced to withdraw from the camp for medical reasons, a refund (minus a 6% processing fee) will be granted to the player if notification is given by SATURDAY, MARCH 23rd.

For any other cancellations or cancellations after Saturday, March 23th, a $50 processing fee will be withheld from the refund. If the camp is cancelled due to inclement weather, the closest alternative date to the original camp date will be arranged and the camp will resume as planned on the new date.

WHAT TO BRING:
Prospects need to bring adequate training apparel: a ball, shin guards, BLACK SOCCER SOCKS, BLACK SOCCER SHORTS, a pair of firm ground cleats (We will train on both field turf AND grass). The event will take place outdoors, so please plan accordingly to stay warm/dry between games and activities.
