Event Description
Viking Goalkeeper and Striker Clinic
The Striker and Goalkeeper camp is an intense twice a week clinic of specialized training for serious soccer players looking to improve dramatically at their position. Pairing strikers and goalkeepers together in the same camp environment enables each player to receive the amount of challenging repetitions needed around the goal to become more comfortable handling crucial plays successfully. The camp is split into two parts. Each will train separately into groups of by age and ability.
Strikers
The Striker part of this camp focuses on the actions & situations that commonly take place in the final third of the field and close to the goal. Our licensed coaches will help players develop & improve a variety of finishing techniques, instill good habits & smart decision making as well as sharpen their awareness of the field. In the modern game every player ends up having a goal scoring opportunity regardless of their position so this camp is open to any field player, regardless of where they usually play.
Goalkeepers
The Goalkeeper part of this camp focuses on both technical aspects and tactical awareness for goalkeepers. Keepers will improve existing techniques as well as improve positional play when their team has possession / does not have possession of the ball. Goalkeepers are required to do more than just make saves so our coaches will also help improve decision making when the goalkeeper has the ball in their hands and at their feet. This clinic is for both experienced goalkeepers and any player interested in becoming a goalkeeper.
