2019 HIGH SCHOOL TEAM CAMP |
The 2018 SWAC Conference Championship Soccer team your GSU Tigers are hosting a competitive skills and training camp at the GSU Soccer fields on campus July 22nd-24th. We welcome you to come train with us, improve your skills and knowledge of the game and then apply those skills in a competitive setting.

Who for: Camp registration is open for all female soccer players entering 8th grade through 12th grade with a focus on Ruston High, West Ouachita, OCS, and Ouachita players.
What: This is a skill and competition camp. We'll teach integral basic skills up through advanced skills that you need to learn to be an effective soccer player including 4 forms of shooting, dribble move series, post up move series, 1 vs 1 defending technique, and combination play set up and execution. Then you will be put in competitive situations to have the chance to execute these skills in short and full sided match play.
How Much: Camp cost for the three day mini camp is $60 per camper and includes 9 hours of soccer training and competition. To avoid $10 late registration fee, please register prior to 11pm on July 18th.
Where: The camp will be hosted at the Grambling State Soccer fields, you can GPS Frederick Hobdy Assembly Center and its right next to that on the back side of the complex. Please arrive 15 minutes early on the first day to check in, and to start getting warm. And then ensure that you are there at least 5 minutes early and ready to go on the other two days of camp.
When: Camp will be run each day from 8am to 11am July 22nd-24th.
What To Bring: Campers please bring a water bottle filled with ice water each day, a soccer ball if you can with name written on it (or you can purchase a Grambling State size 5 official ball for $12.95 online or at camp the day of), adequate sunblock, and a coachable attitude ready to learn and have some fun. Camp instructors will be the Grambling State Soccer head coach and additional staff.
