Come dust off the winter rust at the Kent State Boys & Girls Spring Travel Soccer Tournament and get your travel team prepared for their spring outdoor season. Interested teams must be travel teams who are sanctioned with OYSAN or US Club Soccer and all players must have a valid player pass or birth certificate to play. This event has SOLD OUT in past years! Do not wait to register because tournament slots will be filled on a first come first served bases – 44 teams tournament field.
Each team will be guaranteed 3 games with a maximum of 4 games during the three-day event. U8 through U12 age groups will play a progressive tournament format with the top division leaders meeting for a championship game. Separate divisions for girls and boys, single age group divisions, but divisions may be combined depending upon entrants.
Location: Kent State Field House, 2227 Summit Street, Kent, Ohio 44240
Game Schedule: Please list any special scheduling request on your online registration form. This is event is played inside our Indoor Field House without boards.
→ Friday, March 20th games for local teams will be scheduled and start at 6:00 PM.
→ Saturday, March 21st games will start at 8:00 AM and run through 9:00 PM.
→ Sunday, March 22nd games will start at 8:00 AM and conclude by 7:00 PM.
U8-U10 Boys & Girls: Will play 7v7 on a field size 55x45 in the Kent State University Indoor Field House. Games will be 40 minutes in length with no half time. Modified rules include sub on the fly, all free kicks are direct, goalie can punt the ball, regular corner kicks and throw-ins and no offsides. One ref system.
U11-U12 Boys & Girls: Will play 7v7 on a field size 55x45 in the KSU Indoor Field House. Games will be 40 minutes in length with no half time. Modified rules include sub on the fly, all free kicks are direct, goalie cannot punt the ball, but can throw the ball out, regular corner kicks and throw-ins and no offsides. One ref system.
Registration Deadline: Two weeks prior to event or until event age groups sell out.
Medical Release Form: Every participating player must print off and bring a completed KSU Medical Form.
