The University of Michigan Women’s Soccer Day Camp is for girls entering K-8th grades to learn and develop soccer skills in a fun and positive environment. Campers will experience a variety of activities that will help to develop their technical skills, such  as dribbling, passing & receiving, and shooting.  They will also participate in different small-sided and large-sided games to help in their decision-making as a player.  Campers will be coached by the University of Michigan Women’s Soccer coaches, staff and  players along with guest coaches who specialize in this age group.

Location:  *The UM Soccer Stadium Complex is installing new grass surfaces on all three outdoor fields this summer. Camp will be held at the Indoor Training Center (ITC) and Ferry Field  on UM Central Campus.

Directions:

• From Detroit Metro Airport and points east: Take I-94 west to State Street (exit 177). Turn right. Travel north approximately 2 1/4 miles  through two stoplights. Turn left just past Yost Ice Arena into parking lot. Indoor Training Center is located to the west of Yost Ice Arena and south of the Ferry Field track.
• From Chicago and points west: Take I-94 east to State Street (exit 177). Turn left. Travel north approximately 2 1/4 miles through three  stoplights. Turn left just past Yost Ice Arena into parking lot. Indoor Training Center is located to the west of Yost Ice Arena and south of the Ferry Field track.
• From Toledo and points south: Take U.S. 23 north to I-94 west. Follow directions from Detroit Metro Airport.
• From Flint and points north: Take U.S. 23 south to I-94 west. Follow directions from Detroit Metro Airport.

Parking: Parking is available at the Athletic Lot (SC 20) and the Glick Lot from the State Street and Hoover Street entrances. Parking is free of charge and on a first  come first served basis.

Daily Drop-off & Pick-up: Check-in on Monday will begin at 8:30am. Full Day camp will begin at 9:00am and end at 4:00pm.  Half Day campers will participate from 9:00am-12:00pm. Drop-off and pick-up for both full day and half day camp will be  at the Indoor Training Center.

What To Bring:

• Water Bottle (make sure to have your name written on it/water will be available to fill up)
• Soccer Cleats (please bring old cleats if you are breaking in new cleats)
• Sneakers or sandals for between sessions
• Shin Guards
• Sunscreen
• Your own lunch and snacks for between sessions

Cannot combine discounts.

Medical Care: Athletic Trainers will be on hand at the fields during all field activity for minor injuries.  Emergency care will be provided by the University of Michigan Hospital for more serious injuries.  While the soccer camp provides secondary  insurance, the campers’ health insurance will be used as the primary coverage and all forms will be on hand with the camp administrator.

Refund Policy: All cancellations must be requested in writing by email to wsoccercamps@umich.edu.  If a cancellation occurs more than one week before camp a full refund (minus website processing fees) will be issued.  Cancellations made within one week prior to the start  of camp will not receive a refund. If you purchased camp insurance and need to cancel registration, please reach out to wsoccercamps@umich.edu for guidance.

Weather Policy: In the event of severe weather (extreme heat, tornado, lightning, sustained rain), campers will be sheltered in the Indoor Training Center. When it is safe, campers will resume daily activities.

Use of Camp Credit: Any camper that has a camp credit on file from a previous camp can use those funds to attend a future camp.  This credit will be issued as a discount code.  If the camp credit exceeds the cost of a future camp a refund of  the difference will be issued.  To use camp credit please email wsoccercamps@umich.edu.
