2019 TEAM CAMPS
Welcome to our new and improved format. There have been several changes to our high school team camp thanks to feedback from our attendees. Camp will consist of 3 divisions – 9th grade/Sophomore; JV; and Varsity. Camp will be held on 10 courts – Barnhill Arena, the Student Rec Center and Bud Walton Arena. Team camp will be over three days. However, day 1 will consist of 2 training sessions for the entire camp. Coaches will be able to drop off their teams and have them receive position specific instruction for two sessions. Coaches may stay and observe, ask questions or just rest while we do the work. We will then give your teams back to you on Day 2 and 3 for competition.
Matches will be played over the final two days, giving your team the best of both worlds - great training and great competition. For Arkansas Coaches, you spend three days at our team camp but only use two of your 8 competition dates!
Total number of matches 8-12. Pool play on Day 2 (AM) with crossover matches (PM). Bracket play on Day 3 with a 2 game minimum.
This year, Accommodations will be held off campus, alleviating the need to bring bedding for your team and providing a bathroom/shower, clean sheets and towels for everyone. Hotel accommodations are only a few miles from campus and will give you the flexibility to explore not only our campus, but our beautiful city as well tailor your camp experience to your needs by utilizing our add on feature. The base price of camp attendance is per camper. You can then “add-on” housing and meals – whatever your preference is as a coach. Camp Sponsored meals include Dinner July 18, 2019 in the campus dining hall, Dinner/Ice Cream & movie July 19, 2019, box lunch to go, July 20, 2019.
Meals that are not included are any breakfast, and lunch on day two. With pool play on day 2, it is difficult to determine when you can go eat as a team and this format allows you to manage that individually. We are happy to help identify easy solutions for your lunch needs.
