Head coach Dave Shondell is entering his 17th year at the helm of the Purdue volleyball program after leading the team to 14 NCAA Tournament berths in the last 16 years, including seven Sweet 16 appearances, and two Elite Eight appearances in 2010 and 2013. The Big Ten and Mideast Region Coach of the Year in 2011, Shondell became the fourth head coach in the history of the Boilermaker program on Feb.13, 2003. Purdue is one of just 12 school’s nationally to advance to the NCAA Second Round in 13 of the last 15 seasons. Under Shondell, Purdue has defeated 61 ranked teams and finished among the upper half of the Big Ten 13 times, including a second place finish in 2011, the team's best finish since 1987.
Coach Shondell is excited to invite you to participate in the 2019 Purdue Volleyball Coaches Clinic. This will be an experience that allows each coach total access to Purdue Volleyball—the coaches, players, practice, and facilities. The clinic will begin on Friday afternoon, the 29th and concludes with a spring match as Purdue will play Illinois on Saturday, March 30th.
Coach Shondell’s coaching experience is unique in that he has coached club, high school and college volleyball—working with ages from 10 to 23. Our staff believes this clinic will be productive for coaches at all levels of play. Please consider attending and spreading the word about this premier clinic at Purdue.
The clinic is affordable, but if any coaches cannot attend because of the cost, please contact us to make arrangements. We want all interested coaches to attend!
