Elite Overnight Camp

Camp Details
Experience the beautiful campus of Saint Joseph’s College of Maine, located right on the shore of Sebago Lake. This high level camp includes a lot of time in the gym but also leaves players time to enjoy the campus and provides activities that take advantage of being right on Sebago Lake.
 
Sunday 7/21/19 9:00 am check in through Monday 7/22/19 4:00 pm check out.
 
Includes:
 
Hours of instruction and specific feedback. All positions and skills will be covered with an emphasis on good fundamental techniques and developing an intentional and aggressive mindset. Head Clinician: Jon Roberts, Head Volleyball Coach, Saint Joseph’s College
 
This 2 day elite overnight camp is intended for high level players who are considering playing volleyball in college. These players should be entering 9th to 12th grade and already be able to compete at a high level with other competitive players.
 
Cost: $140 dollars includes:
 
lunch and dinner on Sunday at Pearson’s Cafe
lodging in a campus dorm room Sunday night (double occupancy, linens included)
breakfast and lunch on Monday at Person’s Café
Monks Volleyball camp T-shirt
 
What to Bring:
  • ENERGY & ENTHUSISAM
  • an open mind
  • gym clothes, T-shirts, shorts or spandex, socks and sneakers for all sessions, kneepads
  • a long sleeve shirt or sweatshirt to use in the gym
  • street clothes and shoes for down time and going to the café
  • a sweatshirt or jacket for the evening
  • a light blanket and pillow
  • bathing suit and towel
  • toiletries: toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, body wash etc.
  • alarm clock or cell phone with alarm
  • water bottle
  • backpack or other bag to carry room key, ID, etc. to and from the gym
  • a fan is recommended (dorm rooms do not have air conditioning)
 
Residential Halls:
 
Roommate requests must be made at the time of registration and both roommates must register before July 12 for requests to be considered. We will do our best to accommodate roommate requests but cannot make any guarantees. Residence Hall rules will be established on the first day of camp. All campers are expected to comply with the rules, regulations and policies of the hall. All rooms are double rooms. No more than two will be assigned to a room. Sheets will be provided to each camper. Normal camp attire is expected in the dining room. Shoes must be worn. Robes, slippers, and bathing suits are not allowed in the Café. Please bring your own towels.
 
For the security of personal belongings, always keep your room door locked. Please do not bring valuable items or large sums of money. We will not accept responsibility for theft or loss of money, valuables or personal belongings.
 
A $25 dollar charge will be assessed for anyone that does not return their key at the end of camp. CHECK OUT TIME FOR ELITE CAMP IS NO LATER THAN 4:30 pm. Parents please arrange with your child ahead of time where and when you will pick them up. Campers who drive to campus MAY NOT use their vehicles during their stay.

Wake Up, Shower, breakfast 7:30 am

Clean up rooms / closing remarks 3:30 – 4:00
Pick up 4:00 pm
 
Elite Extended Day Camp (Commuter Option)
 
This option is intended to allow high level local players an option to participate in the elite camp without spending the night on Sunday night.
 
Players will:
Arrive on Sunday 7/21/19 at 9:00 am and be picked up at 9:30 pm
Arrive on Monday 7/22/19 at 9:00 am and be picked up at 4:00 pm.
Follow same schedule as the overnight option for both days while they are on campus.
Receive lunch and dinner on Sunday and lunch on Monday at Pearson’s Café.
Receive a Monks Volleyball Camp T-shirt.
 
Cost: $100 dollars
 
Players who drive to campus MAY NOT use their vehicles during camp.
