This Wrestling Camp is led by the Centennial Wrestling Coaching Staff. 6th-8th Grade Camp is Open to ANY and ALL Students Enrolled in Ankeny Community Schools. The 9th-12th Grade Camp is Open to ANY and ALL Students Enrolled at Ankeny Centennial. |
ANKENY CENTENNIAL SUMMER WRESTLING SKILLS SESSIONS
Centennial High School wrestling Coach Jay Groth and his staff are running skills sessions throughout June and July. These sessions will focus on the development of technique and skills necessary to be successful and competitive. Sessions will start June 12 and run through July 26. Sessions are from 6 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday. This camp is open to ALL students entering grades 6-12. Each session will include large group technical instruction, individual skill development, Folkstyle, Freestyle and Greco techniques, live wrestling and wrestling related games. These days are subject to change due to out of state summer camps and Freestyle and Greco tournaments. Campers will be notified via text, email and tweets of any changes.
ANKENY CENTENNIAL SUMMER WRESTLING CAMP
Centennial High School wrestling Coach Jay Groth and his staff will be offering a wrestling camp for ages K-12 this summer. This camp will also feature John Nicholson a 2 time IA high school state champion and NCAA D1 qualifier. This camp will be open to ANYONE who wants to sign up. The camp will run from June 18-21 from 9 a.m. to Noon. This camp will focus on developing skills and technique for wrestlers of all levels. The camp will also offer wrestling related games and competitions as well as a tournament on the last day. Campers for this camp will get t-shirts as part of the sign up.
