I understand we are all doing different activities in the spring, and maybe your schedule doesn't allow for you to committ to three nights a week. I still would like you to consider making it when your schedule allows you to.

Location: Broken Arrow Wrestling Room

The session will be designed for experienced wrestlers of any age with the emphasis being strategies and techniques for both Freestyle and Greco-Roman with the understanding that the strategies and techniques required for Freestyle and Greco-Roman are the same fundamental strategies and techniques for folk-style. With various nuances differentiating each style from the other, the foundation and fundamentals required to be successful at any style are comprehensive.

Making the Transition from Folkstyle to Freestyle

If you are not familiar with freestyle and greco-roman, it's good to understand that wrestling is wrestling and one style always carries over to another. I do believe both freestyle and greco are extremely beneficial to folkstyle. Competitions are available in the spring every Saturday if you are interested in competing, but competition is not mandatory. I believe the spring is great time to spend more time on the mats with a focus on having fun and learning.

All the workouts will be organized and instructed by Coach Rodney Jones.

Coach Rod is committed to continuously learning and understanding the latest and most advanced techniques and training strategies to becoming a successful wrestler at every level and any style. With over 20 years of coaching experience and success at every level from Division 1 college to youth. He has worked and mentored World and Olympic team members, NCAA Champions and All-Americans, High School State Champions and youth champions.

Coach Rod will attend selected local and regional tournaments: April 19-20th    Oklahoma National Team Qualifier - Union
May 10th- Freestyle and Greco-Roman State Championship - Cushing

Training session will last until June 9th, so it will provide you with a great opportunity to train until Regional and National Events
